A legal disclaimer

By booking and receiving services from KierSkin Spa, you acknowledge and agree to the following terms:

  1. Scope of Services
    All services provided are strictly non-medical, cosmetic esthetic treatments intended for relaxation, beautification, and skincare maintenance. I am not a medical professional and do not diagnose, treat, or prescribe for any physical or mental conditions.

  2. Licensing and Compliance
    I am a licensed esthetician in the State of Maryland and operate in compliance with all applicable state and local regulations. Proof of licensure is available upon request.

  3. Informed Consent
    By receiving services, you consent to the procedures being performed and acknowledge that you have disclosed all relevant medical conditions, allergies, and skin sensitivities. You accept full responsibility for any adverse reactions that may occur as a result of undisclosed information or failure to follow aftercare instructions.

  4. Sanitation and Safety
    All tools and equipment used are sanitized in accordance with Maryland Board of Cosmetology standards. I strive to provide a clean, safe, and comfortable environment, but as this is a home-based business, clients enter at their own risk.

  5. Health & COVID-19 Disclaimer
    Clients experiencing symptoms of illness, including but not limited to fever, cough, or rash, are advised to reschedule their appointment. I reserve the right to refuse service to anyone exhibiting symptoms of illness. A COVID-19 waiver may be required.

  6. Results Disclaimer
    Results may vary from client to client. No guarantees are made regarding the results of any service. Regular treatments and proper home care may be required to achieve optimal results.

  7. Liability Waiver
    By receiving services, you release and hold harmless KierSkin Spa, its owner, employees, and contractors from any and all liability, claims, or damages arising out of or in connection with your participation in or use of any esthetic service or product.

  8. Minors
    Clients under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian who must sign this disclaimer and be present during the treatment.

  9. Photos and Social Media
    With your consent, before-and-after photos may be taken and used for marketing purposes. No identifying features (e.g., full face, tattoos, names) will be shared without your written permission.

Refund Policy - the basics

At KierSkin Spa, I value your time and mine. Please review the following refund and cancellation policy carefully before booking:

1. No-Show Policy

Clients who fail to show up for their appointment without prior notice will not be eligible for a refund of any deposit or payment. Repeated no-shows may result in refusal of future bookings.

2. Cancellations

  • Cancellations made at least 48 hours prior to the scheduled appointment are eligible for a full refund of any deposit paid.

  • Cancellations made less than 48 hours in advance may result in forfeiture of the deposit.

3. Dissatisfaction with Services

Client satisfaction is very important. If you are unsatisfied with your service, please bring it to my attention before leaving the appointment. While no automatic refunds are issued, a resolution or alternative service may be discussed and agreed upon at my discretion.

4. Late Arrivals

Clients arriving more than 15 minutes late may need to reschedule and will be considered a no-show, depending on the circumstances and schedule availability.
